GETTING STARTED WITH RYSTIGGO

So, you’re ready to start managing your gMG with RYSTIGGO. Now is a great time to get your support system in place. Your Care Coordinator will be here to help you every step of the way. In the meantime, here are some things you can do for yourself.

THE POWER OF PLANNING

You may have everything you need to get started with your treatment. But, these items could be scattered around in a mix of emails, phone numbers, websites, and paperwork. Making a plan gives you an opportunity to put everything you need to know for your appointment in one place or document.

As you make your plan, consider the following:

  • Dates – When is your treatment?
  • Locations – Where is your treatment happening?
  • Contact Info – Who can you call for information about your appointment?
  • Transportation (and Backup Plan) – How will you get to your appointment, and what if that method falls through?
  • Missed Appointments – What if you, for some reason, can’t make it to your appointment? Who do you call to tell, and when?
  • Pleasant Events – How will you work positive moments into your treatment day?
  • Meal Planning – What will you eat, and when, on treatment day?

PREPARING FOR YOUR FIRST TREATMENT

As you prepare for your first treatment, check out this Guide to Getting Started with RYSTIGGO. Inside, you’ll find tips about finances, logistics, and more to help you begin treatment.

FOCUS ON THE FUTURE

As you go along your treatment path, it’s important to set and attain goals. These goals may be as grand as traveling or as simple as cooking dinner for yourself. While setting goals is a valuable step, attaining them is even more important. Attaining your goals will require purposeful, proactive steps – and plans for when obstacles arrive.

1

Setting Your Goal

Goals can be big or small, as long as they are attainable. So, consider what is important to you. What do you truly value? Use this insight to set goals that will have a genuine, positive impact when you attain them. After all, if your goals don’t truly matter to you, it will be much more difficult to follow through on attainment.

2

What Do You Need to Do?

Carefully consider what steps you need to actively take in order to reach your goal. Is there a task you need to perform every day, week, or month? Is there a skill you need to learn?

3

Overcoming Obstacles

On your goal attainment path, you will certainly encounter obstacles. What will you do when these obstacles arrive? With your goal in mind, think of a few problems that could come up. Brainstorm some solutions to deal with them as they happen.

Reward Yourself

As you work towards your goals, consider ways you can reward yourself along the way. Make sure these rewards don’t interfere with attaining the goals themselves. But, giving yourself positive rewards can make it easier to stay on track with your goals.
